For runners, the Crescent City Classic provides 10,000 meters of foot-pounding endurance. The route takes runners and fans from the start at Jackson Square, through the CBD to the beautiful Esplanade Avenue to the shade of the old oaks of City Park. Every year thousands of runners, spectators, family members, and supporters flock to the city to watch the annual sprint.

The Mardi Gras Marathon is another exciting event for runners. Worldwide participants, spectators, and supporters come to NOLA each year to make their way through the French Quarter, the Garden District, Audubon Park, City Park, and cross the finish line at the Superdome.
